Midnight Sun over Lapland is a beautiful photo book about our beautiful mountain world in Norrbotten. Magnificent images of animals, nature and Sami culture by photographer Peter Rosén are interspersed with poetic poems and factual texts about Lapland by Lisa Holmström. The book reflects life in Lapland from the last Northern Lights in early winter to the autumn colours in September. It is an intense period when the sun refuses to go below the horizon for the next 2 months. The book also provides a historical review of the history of the Sami, Carl von Linnaeus' journey through Lapland to the first navvies who built the ore railway. The publishers also give their views on how Lapland's nature should be managed for future generations.
