REINDEER HIDE – Natural Scandinavian Reindeer Skin

A genuine reindeer hide from northern Sweden – naturally warm, beautiful and completely unique.

Our reindeer hides have thick, insulating fur and naturally vary in colour, markings, shape and size. Each hide is unique, with shades ranging from cream and grey to brown and darker tones.

Reindeer hide is an exceptionally insulating natural material and is traditionally used in the North as a seat pad on benches, around the campfire and on snow. It also makes a beautiful natural addition to a Scandinavian home, cabin or lodge.

Choose between two types:

Tanned Reindeer Hide
Best suited for indoor use and occasional outdoor use in dry conditions. Avoid prolonged exposure to rain or moisture. If the hide becomes damp, allow it to air-dry thoroughly before storing.

Water-Resistant Treated Reindeer Hide
The better choice for more frequent outdoor use. The leather side has been specially treated to provide increased resistance to moisture, making it suitable for use on benches, sledges and snow. Place the treated leather side against the ground or snow. Always allow the hide to air-dry after use and store it dry.
