About Arctic Collection
Arctic Collection is a family-run business from northern Sweden, with a love of craftsmanship, nature and Nordic design. From our shop and workshop in Gammelstad Church Town, just outside Luleå, we create and carefully select products that reflect the character of the North.
Our story began in 1981, when Frida's mother Birgitta started making pewter bracelets by hand. What began as an interest in traditional craftsmanship grew over the years, while the knowledge, materials and attention to detail remained at the heart of everything we do.
In 2005, the next generation took over when we, Frida and Jiri, began working with the pewter bracelets. We learned the craft from the ground up and continued the family tradition while gradually developing both the collection and the business.
Today, Arctic Collection brings together our family tradition and traditional craftsmanship with contemporary Nordic design and a wider collection inspired by life in the North.
Handmade Pewter Bracelets Since 1981
Pewter bracelets remain at the heart of Arctic Collection.
Our bracelets are sewn by hand in our own workshop in Norrbotten, northern Sweden. We work with soft vegetable-tanned reindeer leather, hand-braided pewter wire alloyed with silver and genuine reindeer antler buttons.
Every design is made with great care – from braiding the pewter wire to the final stitch and inspection before the bracelet leaves our workshop.
For more than four decades, the same idea has guided us: to create pewter bracelets that combine traditional craftsmanship, natural materials and timeless Nordic design.
Inspired by the Nature of the North
The mountains, forests, winter landscapes, midnight sun and Northern Lights are a constant source of inspiration.
This can also be seen in the names of many of our pewter bracelets – Frost, Snow, Winter, Aurora and Tundra. Each design has its own character, but they all have their roots in the same northern landscape and way of life.
Our Home in Gammelstad Church Town
Arctic Collection is based in Gammelstad Church Town, just outside Luleå in Arctic Sweden.
Gammelstad Church Town is Sweden's largest and best-preserved church town and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, among the historic church cottages, you will find our shop and business.
For us, Gammelstad is more than simply the place where we work. Its surroundings, history and closeness to nature are an important part of the Arctic Collection identity.

From Gammelstad to the World
What began with Birgitta's handmade pewter bracelets in 1981 has gradually reached far beyond Norrbotten.
Today, customers can discover Arctic Collection in our shop in Gammelstad, through our online store and at selected retailers in Sweden and internationally.
At the same time, we want to preserve the small-scale character of the products we make ourselves. A handmade pewter bracelet should still feel handmade, with the small variations and details that make each piece individual.
